Gel-based Strong Acid Cation Exchange Resin;

This premium-grade resin is in bead form, presenting a conventional gel of polystyrene sulphonate cation exchange. It comes supplied either in the sodium or hydrogen form.

Designed for a wide array of applications including water softening, delocalization, deionization, and various chemical processing tasks.

In its H form (PC003H), it's suitable for multiple and mixed bed demineralizers with a strong base.
It can also serve as anion exchangers such as Pure PA101, PA102, and PA103 in the OH- form.

Utilizing the cation exchange resin cartridge, this solution effectively reduces hardness by releasing Hydrogen (H+) ions or other positively charged ions in exchange for impurity cations present in the water. The process involves passing water containing hardness ions, specifically calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+), through a column housing a strongly acidic cation exchange resin in the sodium (Na+) form. The calcium and magnesium ions are then exchanged for an equivalent number of sodium ions.

Once the resin is exhausted, necessitating recharging, a solution with a high concentration of sodium salts, such as brine (sodium chloride), is passed through the ion exchange resin, a process known as regeneration.
